Christmas Mugs

We wanted to do something for the guys my husband works with. I came up with the idea of a mug with chocolate dipped pretzels, hot chocolate cones and a dipped chocolate covered spoon. He then made it more elaborate and wanted the mugs etched with the company name and then person's name. Also, he wanted to add miniature alcohol bottles (the size you get on a flight)! So I did that all! lol Here are some pictures for your viewing pleasure!

E.A.T.

I saw a blog the other day where the owner made some pretty nifty EAT letters to go in her kitchen. For the life of me I cannot find that blog again! I searched and searched only to end up empty handed. So, if by chance the owner of that blog sees this post, please let me know so I can link you! :)

Anyways, yesterday I went to Michael's and bought some of the large letters. I got the white coated ones! I painted them last night black and then sanded them all over to give them sort of a rustic, warn down appearance. I then covered them in Mod Podge to give them a glossy coat! :D I really like them! They are already hanging up in my dining room! :) I am trying to decide as to whether or not buy some more letters or make some sort of decoration for the other side of the wall. Any and all ideas are welcome!

Thanks for looking, comments are welcome as well! :)

From Santa....

A friend of mine, Crystal, asked me to make her son, Aidan, a card from Santa. So, I sat on it for a few days coming up with different ideas. I was finally able to decide on something and the good news is she loved it!!! She also asked me hand write a letter from Santa in the card!

Simply Divine

I must really have the Christmas itch. I am coming up with all these creative ideas! LOL This new creation that I made on Saturday, it took about an hour! Not too bad, eh, not for something this awesome looking! I painted everything myself, added some glitter, some 'snow', some trees. :) And I love it!! Oh, not to mention it only cost a total of $8.39 to make!!

Christmas Wreath

I wanted to make a wreath that matched our Christmas colors. I thought about making a traditional one, but this time around I did a yarn one. I am considering making a traditional one as well...so stay tuned in!

Here's the wreath I made:

It's Beginning To Look.....

a lot like Christmas! Yes, yes it is! The weather here is finally cooling down and the sun is hidden...which I love. Some people think I am strange for hating the summer and loving the winter, but I hate the sun, I love the dreary type of weather that require sweaters and scarves and a nice cup of peppermint hot chocolate! To me, I can have this nearly all year long. :)

How was everyone's Thanksgiving? Good, I hope! My family came into town and we had a really good time! It was nice seeing them and my niece and nephew!

Now, it's Christmas time!!!! YAY! I attempted to convince John to get a real Christmas tree...I saw some and they were so gorgeous...but he turned my idea down. :( Pooey, maybe one of these days I can have a real tree in here for Christmas. But, our famous long living fake tree is serving our household proudly this year again. It looks great so I can't complain!

Our colors are silver, blue and white. I just love those colors. I am not a big fan of the traditional red and green...I don't know why.Oh, yeah and we also have our Yoda tree topper! A Christmas tree is not complete until you've got Yoda sitting on top! lol

Here is my tree! :)

BikeVinyl.com Product and Customer Service Review

My husband has recently purchased a new motorcycle and wanted to get a "Punisher" themed decal for it. He went to google to find a website that could produce the decal he wanted. He found Bike Vinyl. We emailed the company asking various questions and they promptly replied, which made me feel more comfortable about ordering from them. The sales department created a mock copy of the decal that my husband wanted. We bought it that night. That was on September 22, 2010. A few weeks passed by and I emailed the company again asking for an update of the order. I received no reply until I emailed them again. Finally received a reply and was informed that my order had already been shipped by USPS and there was not a tracking number available.  I wrote back explaining that we had not received our order and that I would like some sort of comfirmation that the order had been sent. He gave me the address that he sent it to and it was incorrect, I informed him of that. He then said that, that was the address that I had put in my account. So, what do I do? I go check my account, it was NOT the address that I put in. He then said that he would resend my order that Monday, did he? Nope! He always said that he would update me with a tracking number, did he? Nope! I emailed him AGAIN in the beginning of November 2010 asking where my order was. He informed me that he shipped it a week prior. I asked him for tracking number, like he promised. He said he does not get tracking numbers. I asked him for some sort of confirmation, he said he only had pictures of the item packed. I asked for those pictures. He never sent them to me. About a week later, we received the decal, only after harrassing him for our money back or the decal. He sent it on November 8th.

I personally do not think that he ever sent our order out to begin with, I think he was trying to pocket our money and realized that I was not about to leave him alone until we got one or the other.

It was not a pleasure doing business with this company. I will NEVER do business with this company and I DO NOT recommend this company to anyone.

Luggage.com Product Review

In this post I mentioned about doing a product review. Well, it has become that time! I received my product on November 12th, I ordered it on November 10th, pretty quick shipping! That's always a bonus!

I ordered his pirate backpack for my son Xavier. I'm always looking for new ways to organize when we go on day trips! This backpack has a TON of pockets, which is so awesome. I'm always looking for pockets! I love the design of the backpack as well, also the inside of the straps are soft! The straps are also adjustable too! All the zippers zip perfectly, they don't get caught on any inside material, like most backpacks! Also, this backpack holds quite a bit, I was impressed!

Here are some pictures:

I really like this bag and so does my son, which is the most important part! This is way cooler than carrying a diaper bag around! I ♥ it!

Product Review Appearing Soon!

I was contacted last week from the awesome people at CSN Stores and they offered me a great opportunity to review a piece of children's luggage that is available on their site! In case you have not heard of CSN Stores, here's a little recap of what they are all about. They have over 200 (yes that's right 200!!!) stores where you can find anything, and I do mean ANYTHING. Where else can you purchase awesome children's luggage, stylish home decor as well as a Kurgo Skybox Pet Booster Seat? Nowhere else except a CSN Store of course!

I have been browsing their children's luggage items since being notified! I must admit I am excited to be able to review such an item! Packing for a child not only is time consuming but there truly is not enough space in my duffle bag for his stuff as well! Getting my son his very own piece of luggage will give me the ability to pack more of my stuff as well as being able to keep his items more organized! I am really interested in the Mercury Luggage Going to Grandma's Children's 16" Wheeled Upright Suitcase! My son has recently started to LOVE trains so this is perfect, not to mention the handle to wheel it around! I will continue to look around their children's luggage area to fully make up my mind, who knows I might find another piece that tickles my fancy! :)

Come back soon for the review and of course pictures! :)

Disney Cars Cakes

For my son, Xavier's second birthday I made him a Disney Cars cake! It was very fun to make, not to mention it tasted GREAT! :)

This cake was for the son of the lady I sit for. This cake was for his second birthday as well!

Mario Birthday Invitation

My friend, Jessica, asked me to design her son's sixth birthday invitations in the theme of Mario! Here is the finished product! (phone number has been erased for privacy purposes)

VanWest Photography Logos/Watermarks

A friend of mine has started a photography business and asked me to make her company logos as well as watermarks.

Did Someone Say Cake?

The Mom I sit for asked me to make her daughter's 6th birthday cake! Please note that I am in no way a professional and I have never taken a single cake decorating class in my life, so the cake is not perfect, it does have imperfections. The family loved it regardless!

Silhouettes

I have never done silhouettes before but always have wanted to! So, I figured I would give it a shot for a Christmas gift, I must say they turned out amazing! They are of the two children is sit for during the week....this will be their Mom's Christmas gift.

Wall Decorations

There is this one wall in our master bedroom that has remained empty for the entire two years that we have lived here and since I found out that we will have to remain living here for at least another year I decided to decorate the wall! I got tired of looking at the emptiness.

Here are the before pictures. I bought ALL of this stuff at Michaels for $9.04! Not too bad, right!

I of course had to decorate it and make it look all amazing! Here are the after pictures!

And here it all is on our wall!
